Marlborough Sounds

The picture doesn’t do it justice. This must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The sounds are flooded river valleys created by a shifting of the earth.

We watched some of the South Island Croquet Tournament today. Some of my new croquet friends are either running the event or playing in it. It is an interesting game that is much harder than it looks.

Chris and I played golf this afternoon. The day was the nicest since I’ve been here; mid to upper 70’s and beautiful sunshine. Christmas and summer seem like a good fit to me.
Happy birthday to Carol Swenson and Steve Eckes!

Hey Scott,

Happy New Year!!

I am enjoying seeing new Zeland through your eyes. The pictures are great and your commentary equally as interesting.

Love,
