I took a hike up a hill to the acclaimed "Centre of New Zealand" today. That would be the geographic center of the country. It's about 3k from the house I've got. Don't ask me how they figure that out, but it just so happened to be on the top of a hill overlooking the town of Nelson and the bay. Something seems a bit fishy...
The summer activities are starting to rev up. I received a flyer in the mail yesterday touting all the summer outdoor activities upcoming such as street music, movies in the park, the Nelson Jazz Festival, etc. It seems very odd to see all this hub-bub around the Christmas holidays for summer events. Christmas carols in shorts is the order of the day.
I couldn't get my flash drive to fit into the computer so I'll post a picture tomorrow. Sorry.
